Three Wonderful Years
Scott and I celebrated our third anniversary on Wednesday, June 17th. We had a wonderful day together! We hiked Mt. Kearsarge for the first time with Camden, brought the little guy to the lake in the afternoon and went out for a nice, quiet (haha) dinner as a family. It wasn't exactly the romantic dinner that many people hope for on their anniversary. Instead we took turns walking Camden around the dining room showing him all the cool stuff hanging on the walls. When we tried to put him in his little high chair, he kept "talking" really loudly and excitedly. Although this is not your "typical" anniversary date, I wouldn't have had it any other way. Scott and I are happiest when we are together as a family of three.

I feel so blessed to have Scott in my life. He is an amazing husband AND father! He makes me laugh every day, encourages me, pushes me to be a better person and helps me grow in my relationship with God. These have been the best three years of my life and I know we have many, many MANY more down the road together!

Birthday Fun
I wrote a long blog about my birthday yesterday and somehow it all got erased before could publish it! grrr. So here we go again...
I just celebrated my 27th birthday this weekend! I can't believe I'm in my "late twenties"...that sounds so old! Scott keeps reminding me that he's still 26 until October and likes to rub it in that I'm an "older woman"...such a nice husband, isn't he?
We had a wonderful weekend to celebrate and actually enjoyed a little bit of sunshine in this month of rain that we've had! Scott let me sleep in on Saturday morning and then after Camden's morning nap we went on an adventure! We explored all these new dirt roads that we had never been on and made it safely to our destination - Beech Hill Farm! I don't know how I've lived in New Hampshire my entire life and never heard of this incredible farm! They serve the best ice cream around (with big servings - that's my kind of place!) and also have a bunch of animals to look at, a huge green house with beautiful plants and flowers and a nature trail. We had a blast showing Camden the animals. He's a bit tentative at this point, but it will be such a fun place to bring him in the future! Here are some pictures from our time at Beech Hill Farm...

Scott's parents came up on Saturday night and babysat while Scott and I went out for a special birthday dinner to the New London Inn! We had a blast eating all the fancy food we wanted (thanks to two gift certificates we had) and actually having adult conversation rather than trying to keep Camden clean, quiet and happy like we usually do when we go out to eat! Sunday we had fun bringing Scott's parents to our church for the first time and just happened to stop at Beech Hill Farm for a little more ice cream on the way home! (That's right - twice in two days! That's how we roll around here!) After a much needed two hour nap for Scott, Camden and me, (we had had a bad teething night the night before), we all headed over to my parents house for a birthday party! My little niece, Clara, turned four on June 7th and so we had a joint family party to celebrate both of our birthdays. It was great to all be together with lots of laughter and delicious food.

Sign Language
I almost forgot such an exciting addition to our 10 month update list...Camden did his first "sign" last week! He does the sign for 'nurse' and actually knows what it means! We're communicating! YAY!!!! It was so incredible to see that for the first time. He also tries to do the sign for 'more,' but doesn't quite have it down yet. It's incredible how well he is understanding language these days! Scott and I will be talking to each other and say "good job" or mention the word "clap" and Camden will start clapping! It's awesome! I can't wait until he can do more signs!

10 Month Update and Cape Cod
Camden is now 10 months old! It is amazing how fast his first year is flying by! He is at such a fun age right now and makes us laugh all the time. Here are some of the things he's been up to recently:
- He can clap, wave and respond to "How big is Camden...sooooo big!" on command!
- If he hears clapping on a CD or on the television he joins right in!
- He dances when he hears music which is pretty darn adorable!
- He is walking all over the place, but still doesn't quite realize that if something is on the floor in front of him he needs to walk around it so we are still following him pretty closely.
- Still no crawling, but we're continuing to put him on his belly to see what happens.
- He is eating like a madman - he must be on a constant growth spurt! He now feeds himself organic cheerios and little sweet potato puffs, LOVES avacado and strawberries, and is eating lots of yogurt little cubed veggies as well as his regular pureed baby fruits and vegetables.
- He usually takes about a 90 minute nap in both the morning and afternoon (which is awesome) but is still a horrible sleeper at night! Ugh - he only sleeps about two hours at a time and that's when his teeth aren't killing him (which they usually seem to be these days).
- He still only has his bottom two teeth. We are waiting on others to pop through. It seems like he's been in a lot of pain recently, so we're hoping to see some teeth soon!
- He is a little social butterfly and loves to stop and "talk" to people wherever we are. He seems to brighten everyone's day.
- He is by far the most active little guy I've ever seen. He doesn't stop walking around, never sits still, doesn't like to sit on the floor and play by himself - he wants to be on the move at all times! My parents refer to him as "Mr. Busy" and the name has certainly stuck - it's very accurate!
Overall, we have found parenthood to be incredible, rewarding, exhausting and wonderful! I'm excited to see all he learns over the next few months of summer!
We just returned from a few days on Cape Cod visiting my grandparents! We had a blast and Camden just loved exploring the ocean! Here are some of my favorite pictures of our trip!

It's Official...
...Summer is finally here! Saturday was Proctor's graduation ceremony. We were sad to miss our friends' wedding down in PA, but had a great time saying goodbye to some special kids that we have known for the last three years. Scott's advisee, Nick, was the Valedictorian and gave a great speech!

But by the end of the day, he was passed out...

A bunch of kids wore their swim suits under their graduation gown and as soon as the recessional ended they ripped off their gowns and jumped in the pond! It was a pretty funny sight...
A couple of my advisees were graduating as well. Here I am with Alice...
...and this is me with Trilbey and Hannah (who is entering her senior year).
Blair - a neighbor and friend who I have known since she was born - graduated as well! I'll miss her!
And here is Scott with his favorite niece, Clara...
It is so hard to believe that we have already been here for three years! We had a great year this year! Scott finished his Master's Degree through Michigan State, had a smooth transition into classroom teaching from one-on-one tutoring and was able to continue to be an amazing husband and father! I transitioned out of fulltime teaching and coaching to being a mommy, and although I miss some of the relationships I had with the kids, it is TOTALLY worth it! I love being home and feel so blessed to have the opportunity to be with Camden every day. We are excited for summer vacation and look forward to many adventures for the three of us!
