We enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day in New Hampshire today. Temperatures were in the upper 70's and to make things even better, it was the last day of classes! Woohoo!!! We have a busy weekend ahead with the Spring Musical (Bye Bye Birdie - Scott is there tonight and I'm going tomorrow night. Yes...we're doing the baby/dorm duty swap thing so one of us is staying behind each night to hold down the fort. Not ideal, but we'll survive!), a dorm cookout on Saturday, a handmade-by-me surprise pancake breakfast for the boys on Sunday and the famous Spring Fling Sunday afternoon with inflatables, a concert, a comedian and lots of deliciously unhealthy food to consume. The end of the year is a fun time and we are so excited that summer is just around the corner. Today gave us a little taste of the fun we have in store for us! Camden and I went to the lake TWICE! Earlier in the day we went with my mom and Clara (and I forgot my camera...boo!!! Clara and Camden had a blast together) and then after his afternoon nap Scott came up with us and we got soft serve ice cream and played around in the water. So fun! Here are some pictures of Scott and Camden playing in the late afternoon sun.
SUMMER...HERE WE COME!!!!! :)

Mother's Day, Fire Trucks and Spring Adventures...
Sorry I've been a blog slacker this past week! We have been keeping busy and the end of the school year is just around the corner! YAHOO!!! We are currently in our last week of classes and then next week is final exams! Can't wait for summer adventures as a family! Here are some pictures and updates of what we've been up to...

We had a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend! Scott and Camden spoiled me with a bouquet of flowers and a beautiful hanging plant for our porch! Love them both! Scott also made me a delicious dinner that I'm currently wishing I could eat more of right now! It was soooo yummy!
Nan and Pop came over for an afternoon visit on Mother's Day...Camden, of course, had a blast.
Playing his harmonica!
Camden playing with his little buddies at a friends 1st birthday party...
Trying his first ever cupcake! It was a hit!
Playing outside in his pj's yesterday morning. He LOVES his trucks and LOVES being outside!
Yesterday afternoon we had fun exploring a big fire truck right down the hill from our house! The kids on campus organized a huge slip and slide and the truck was there to provide LOTS of water! Camden wasn't so sure what to think at first...but he quickly warmed up and loved exploring the truck!
We had fun looking for frogs at the pond before bedtime last night. There was a beautiful evening light and we had a wonderful time together!
Me and my boy...love him soooo much...

Camden's Recent Activities/Obsessions
Camden is absolutely obsessed with books these days. The use of the word obsessed is NOT an exaggeration here! He wakes up in the morning and the first word out of his mouth is "book." This morning Scott woke up with him at 5:30 and read with him until 6:00 (while I slept in the guestroom) and then we switched places and I continued to read until almost 7:00am! By the end of the reading session we are surrounded by books of every shape and size. He doesn't just look at the pictures, or flip through the pages really fast either...he actually listens, points out words he knows, and giggles with glee when something is funny. I'm thrilled that he loves books so much, but oh my goodness, by the end of the day I'm exhausted from reading baby books over and over again all day long! He doesn't like to put them back until we're all done reading so we just collect stacks and stacks of books around us until there are none left on the shelf! He has a few favorites that he likes to read 5-6 times in a row. His current obsessions are:
So...if you ever come over to our house...be ready to read with the little guy!
He's also super into jumping off the couch onto the cushions on the floor (over and over and over again...)
Coloring...
Playing with his trucks and rocks and sandbox and swing and dirt and anything outside...he would be out there all day if we let him!
(He's learning to ride a two-wheeler at Ami and Bepa's house! Forget this tricycle stuff!)
Yesterday we were walking home from lunch at the dining hall and Camden saw a bunch of Dandelions on the side of the path. He pointed at them and exclaimed "Mama!" and bent down to pick a bunch for me! It added a good 8 minutes to our walk, but the fact that my little boy sees flowers and wants to pick them for me melts my heart! We have a sweetheart on our hands!

It's a BOY!
We had another ultrasound up at Hitchcock a few days ago and received the WONDERFUL news that everything looks healthy, is developing just as it should be and the heartrate was perfect! I'm actually measuring a week ahead, which could mean my due date is actually 9/16 instead of 9/23, but more likely means we just have a big baby. We're not changing the due date at this point, and honestly, does it really surprise anyone that we have a big baby in there?!?! What an answer to prayer to know that he's growing and healthy! YAY!!! We also found out that Camden is going to have a little BROTHER! :) We are excited to watch our two little boys grow up together. They will be just over two years apart and I'm hoping they will be great friends. I was a little sad at first not to have an excuse to go buy a whole new wardrobe, but Scott was thrilled that we already have everything we need for the little guy! At our ultrasound a few weeks ago, the doctor came in near the end and although the little one hadn't been cooperating for most of the appointment, and I was just 16 weeks which is early to tell, she thought we were going to have a girl. She said, "Don't go painting the room, but if I was a betting woman I'd say you're having a girl!" Although we tried not to get too attached to the idea (I refrained from buying ANYTHING until we were sure) we still started calling the baby by our girl's name that we had picked out and starting to feel more attached to "her." Needless to say, it took a little bit of time to readjust our mindset and start picturing our future with two boys, but ultimately we are thrilled that they will have eachother and know that this is the exact little person that God wants in our family.
We can't wait to meet him and hold him in our arms. He's such an active little guy (doing somersaults during the ultrasound and kicking me as we speak!) and we're feeling more and more attached to him with each passing day. Now we're just trying to settle on a boy's name! :)
Life is good, and we couldn't be more thankful for this little guy and for his health. Love him already! I'm 19.5 weeks along and feeling great!

A Fun-Filled Saturday
We had such a wonderful day today! After Camden's morning nap, we loaded into the car and drove down to Concord. We went to Target for some much needed items...Scott walked out of the store so excited about our purchases, while I was thoroughly disappointed that we didn't get anything "special". Our bags consisted of a mop (Scott is psyched!!!), a bucket, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, mouthwash and toilet paper. Thrilling huh? No cute baby outfits, no new maternity clothes, no super cute purse that I was eying. Oh well...my husband was happy and was probably thrilled that we didn't spend money on anything frivolous. After Target we went to Bagel Works and got delicious sandwiches on homemade bread and then headed out to Beech Hill Farm. I've had May 1st on my mental calendar for a while now because it was opening day at my favorite place! We wandered around, watched Camden play in a big pile of dirt with about 20 dump trucks, looked at the animals and enjoyed massive amounts of scrumptious ice cream! The sun finally broke through the morning clouds just in time for our outing and it was so fun to watch Camden's face full of pure joy as he took in all the sights. We got home just in time for his afternoon nap, and Scott and I enjoyed a nice nap too! After our naps, we watched some of the baseball game on campus (which mainly consisted of socializing with our co-workers/neighbors/friends (that's all one category around here)) and watching Camden play with/fight with his little buddies. After dinner in the dining hall we played with Camden at home - he enjoyed pulling EVERY book off of his bookshelf in his room, wrestling with Daddy and bouncing on our big exercise ball (see pictures below!). He was tired after a busy day, and Scott and I enjoyed watching Julie and Julia together after he was settled into bed. Yay for fun times together as a family and weekends off-duty!
