A Friday Afternoon

We are so incredibly lucky to be a part of such a wonderful community of friends through the school that we work at.  Working at a boarding school means that all of the faculty and faculty kids spend a lot of time together.  We eat meals together in the dining hall on a daily basis.  We run around in the gym together after dinner.  We spend afternoons wandering campus on warm spring days.  This spring a friend of mine who teaches science has been offering Kids Science Fridays for any of the faculty kids and families who might be interested.  They are exploring the pond, planting seeds and watching them grow, building things and doing all sorts of fun activities.  I took some pictures of the sailboat race we had on the pond this past Friday afternoon and all of the kids that our boys are lucky enough to grow up with.  Does it get any better than this?!?!
This little one is just two weeks older than Micah...
 Sooo many kids!
 Watching the ducks!
My sister and niece are up for a few days from North Carolina to visit with my Dad (and the rest of us of course) and they joined us for dinner at the dining hall.  We ended up watching the end of a baseball game with ice cream cones.  These boys sure love their cousin!

The evening light shines through our big sliding glass doors out the back and I love to lie on the couch with my boys after a fun day and snuggle in that light...
 Just another Friday afternoon.

Easter Fun

We had a wonderful Easter weekend.  It certainly didn't feel like a normal Easter (we ate dinner at Unos in Concord with my in-laws after visiting my Dad on Sunday night), but it was nice to have some fun traditions to distract us from everything that has been going on recently.  This is the first year that both boys have been old enough to enjoy coloring eggs, going to the Easter egg hunt in New London and finding treats around the house.  We went to church as a family on Sunday morning and my mom was able to join us for that which was really nice.  I'm so thankful, especially this Easter, that my God is a God of new life, fresh beginnings and miracles.

Easter Egg Hunt on the town green.  It was freezing!
 Brotherly love...

Meeting the Easter Bunny (Micah wanted nothing to do with this!)...
Haha...Micah making a silly face while coloring eggs...
Camden teaching Micah about how to collect eggs during our Easter Egg hunt at home...
This is the best of a series of pictures on the stairs (hard to believe it's the best since both their eyes are closed...but it's true!)
 Enjoying his treats!
 FAMILY!
Visiting Bepa at his rehabilitation hospital...
 A beautiful Easter sunset...He's alive!
