Cape Cod

We had an amazing couple of days on the Cape this past week visiting my grandparents with my Mom, Caren and Clara!  It was really windy, but we still managed to have lots of beach time, lots of family time and many wonderful memories were made.  We feel so lucky to have family in such a beautiful area and it was really special for our kids to spend some quality time with their great grandparents!

 Sheer joy!
 Love these three!
 Constant motion...
One of our favorite parts about our trips to the Cape is bringing our kids to the ocean early in the morning before most of the house is awake.  It's much easier to just get them out of the house than to keep them quiet for others to sleep.  Both of the mornings we were there, we were at the ocean before 7:00am, let the kids run around for an hour and then got bagels and muffins at a favorite little store/bakery on the way home.

Our first morning there, we brought my Grandma Sylvia to the beach with us before everyone else was awake.  She loved seeing the beach so empty and the beautiful sun on the water and says she's definitely going to return early in the morning again soon!
 Love her...
Scott went for a little run on the beach, and came back to find us to bring us down the beach to where he saw a small shark that was dead on the sand!  It was pretty exciting for all of us, thought I didn't take a picture!
Love this one...

Later in the day we went to Skaket (the bay side).  The kids had a blast, but it was really windy!!
Ami and all of her grandchildren...
Grandma Sylvia and all of her great grandchildren!
Sadie pretty much always wants Mama!  And Mama was behind the camera here!
 My Mama and her girls...
 Ice cream time!
Sadie's very first taste of ice cream!!!
Another early morning...
 Throwing rocks...
We're so thankful for this special time with our extended family and can't wait to go back again (hopefully) soon!

North Shore

Since things aren't very springy around here in NH, we headed just a bit south last weekend to our old stomping grounds on the North Shore of Boston.  My cousins were having a gender reveal party to share the news of who this next little baby to join the family will be, and we enjoyed a day trip visiting with family and playing at one of our favorite ocean parks.  Jon and Mere were thrilled to cut into their cake and find out that they're having another girl to join big sister E!
Camden helped entertain all the little ones by reading to them.  It was precious...
After the party, we headed to Ocean Lawn to get some energy out with my Mom before hopping back in the car to head home.  It felt a little springy, but still windy and chilly!  At least it was warmer than New Hampshire - Camden hopped out of the car and ran around in circles yelling, "Grass!  I see grass!"  It was awesome!  :)
 Beautiful day!
 Exploring...
Just noticing the colors in this photo!  I didn't touch an editor on any of these pics!  Pretty beautiful creation!
 Love our little family!
 Looking for shells...
Poor little Sadie was sporting quite the outfit - she had a cute little dress on at the party, but turned into this to play outside!  :)
Thankful for a fun day in Beverly.
