We had a wonderful last day of vacation on Sunday and a very successful travel day today! Sunday was our nicest day of weather with temperatures around 70 and much less wind than we had on Saturday which made it feel a great deal warmer! We had a blast playing on the beach, going to an incredible restaurant on the bayside of the island and swimming in the pool! I'm sitting in my cold living room in NH, but am very content with the uncomfortable feeling of my sunburned feet (I put sunscreen on everywhere else and apparently the sunscreen really works, because my feet got fried)!
Today was a great day of travel - no glitches! We got out of the house on time this morning, made it to the airport with time to spare, skipped through security with no lines and Camden was a complete trooper on the plane. He literally fell asleep about one minute after takeoff - we were still climbing steeply - and stayed asleep in my arms for about an hour and 15 minutes. Although he was awake for the rest of the trip, he was happy and relatively easy to keep content! Praise God!
Here are some pictures from the end of our time. We had a great vacation together. It was so wonderful to have no schedule, no plans and no distractions - just time together. Vacations are definitely VERY different with a 19 month old than when you are just a couple, but we had a blast watching Camden explore the world around him and learn so many new things! We know we won't always be able to afford getaways like this, so we are very thankful that we were able to this year!
